Kartik Aaryan gears up for his short film Silvat

Reportedly, Kartik Aaryan worked on Silvat before making his Bollywood debut.

Kartik Aaryan just announced that he is part of a short film named Silvat. The actor has taken up the role of a Muslim for the first time through the film.

Silvat features Meher Mistry in the lead role. She plays the role of Noor, who the film revolves around. Noor is married and her husband works in the Middle East. However, he has not visited her in years.

While waiting for her husband, Noor falls in love with Anwar (Kartik). Interestingly, this is also the first time when Meher and Kartik collaborate, more so as lovers.

Reportedly, Kartik took up the project back when he was still trying to make his debut in Bollywood. Interestingly, Ranbir Kapoor’s short film Karma also released on YouTube recently. The movie was also something that Ranbir did before making his Bollywood debut.

Silvat is written by Faraz Arif Ansari and directed by Tanuja Chandra. It will be released on Zee5 soon.

Kartik has recently been in the news over being dropped out of Dostana 2. The actor had begun shooting for the movie, produced by Karan Johar. He had even posted videos with his female co-star Janhvi Kapoor and their chemistry was much-appreciated by the fans.

The actor has other projects like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 opposite Kiara Advani and Dhamaka in his kitty. While there is no update on Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 yet, Dhamaka is slated to be a Netflix release.

Kartik was last seen in Love Aaj Kal 2 which released in theatres in 2020 before the COVID-19 lockdown was announced. The movie, directed by Imtiaz Ali, also starred Sara Ali Khan in the lead role.
