Kartik Aaryan has opened up about his massive transformation for Chandu Champion. The actor revealed he also suffered several injuries during this process.
Ever since Chandu Champion's trailer was released, Kartik Aaryan's physical transformation for the film has been the talk of the town. The actor underwent rigorous training to achieve the desired look for his character in Kabir Khan's film. In the movie, Kartik essays the role of Murlikant Petkar, who is India's first Paralympic gold medalist. In a recent interview with Firstpost, Kartik revealed all that went into his transformation process for Chandu Champion.
Speaking with the publication, Kartik Aaryan said he used to work out twice or thrice a day and it also included a sport that he used to play. The actor recalled he used to have a swimming session or a boxing session in a day added to the regular weight training.
"And there was a physiotherapy session because your body is like a pit stop; you need to rejuvenate again and again. I had several injuries later. I had to take physiotherapy so that my body doesn’t get tired of excessive training," he said.
Kartik further mentioned he had to follow an extensive diet plan as well. For the actor, it was the most difficult part because he is a foodie. The actor thought he would never be able to sustain that to leave everything aside and continue the same routine for a couple of years.
Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan shared his before-and-after photos of his transformation on social media. In his Instagram post, the actor spoke about living the life of Murlikant Petkar for Chandu Champion.
"The life of the living legend Mr Murlikant Petkar, not only made me a stronger human being but also, further installed the belief that if you can dream it, then you can achieve it... nothing is impossible (sic)," he mentioned. The actor added that from being an insomniac to a fitness enthusiast, was a remarkable journey for him.
