The much-awaited teaser of Karthi's upcoming film, Japan, is ready for release. The film's producer, SR Prabhu of Dream Warrior productions, said that the teaser was dope and that he can't wait to share it with the rest of the world.

Japan teaser to be screened with Leo
The announcement will happen today and the teaser will be launched tomorrow (October 18). After the launch, the teaser will be screened during the interval of Vijay's upcoming film, Leo. Meanwhile, the team is gearing up for a grand audio launch on October 28 at Nehru Indoor Stadium. Since Japan marks Karthi's 25th venture, the audio launch is likely to happen on a grand scale.

Star cast and crew
Japan marks Karthi's maiden collaboration with the Joker director Raju Murugan. The film has Anu Emmanuel playing the leading lady and the supporting cast comprises Jithan Ramesh, Sunil, Vijay Milton, Vagai Chandrasekhar and Bava Chelladurai. Music for the film is by GV Prakash Kumar, cinematography by Ravi Varman and editing by Philomin Raj.

Karthi and his tryst with comedy
When it comes to comedy, the Ponniyin Selvan actor sure aces the game. His performances in Siruthai, Saguni, Alex Pandian and All in All Azhagu Raja were well received by the critics and audience. His performance in Thozha, in which he displayed varied emotions with effortless ease, was also appreciated by everyone.

An interesting storyline

The plot is said to revolve around Tiruvarur Murugan, who was the man behind a series of robberies in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. After he was nabbed by the police, he helped them solve a number of crimes that involved him. However, Murugan, who was also a HIV patient, passed away due to ill health. The film is slated to hit screens for Deepavali on November 10.
