Well, it is no longer a secret that Karthi has made a cameo appearance in Kanguva, the recently released Suriya-starrer. Here’s how the netizens reacted to the actor’s appearance.

Kanguva, the highly anticipated period fantasy film, has finally hit the theatres today. The movie, which marked the first onscreen collaboration between Suriya and director Siva, has received mixed reviews from both the audience and critics. Even though the National Award-winning actor was impressed with his performance, the storytelling has failed to create an impact. Kanguva, however, is now garnering attention with the electrifying cameo appearance of Karthi, the popular actor and younger brother of Suriya.

Even though Suriya and director Siva’s ambitious project is struggling to create an impact with its lackluster storytelling, the performances and visuals have impressed the audiences. As reported earlier, the biggest surprise factor of Kanguva was its final moments, which presented a lead to an upcoming sequel. Karthi, the popular actor, made a cameo appearance in the film, thus marking his first collaboration with his elder brother, Suriya.

The Meiyazhagan actor’s performance and look in the film have created quite a stir on social media. A majority of netizens on the internet feel that Karthi’s cameo is one of the biggest highlights of Kanguva. The actor, who makes a minuscule appearance in the film, has made a big impact with his unique avatar and dialogue delivery. However, some others feel that Karthi was just wasted in the film, as an epic face-off between the actor and his brother Suriya is missing in the film.

“Kanguva - The Crocodile Fight Sequence and Karthi intro are the highlights of the second half..” wrote a cinephile. “Karthi Na cameo in Kanguva... Whole theatre (sic)... Kanguva 2 Lead,” wrote a fan on X (formerly Twitter). “Kanguva... Karthi cameo next level... Highest opening in Suriya’s career,” reads another fan post. Even though nothing much has been revealed about Kanguva 2, the film’s tail end suggests that the upcoming sequel is going to feature an epic battle between the actor-siblings, Suriya and Karthi. The Kaithi 2 actor is expected to be featured in a full-fledged role in the next installment.
