Karthi posts a heartfelt tweet thanking Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan for their appreciation on Ponniyin Selvan

It looks like Karthi is super happy with the appreciation he has been receiving from several quarters for his role in Ponniyin Selvan. The actor's portrayal of Vanthiyathevan has impressed movie lovers of different age groups and is regarded as one of his finest performances till date.

A few days ago, he took to his Twitter page to thank the audience for all the love they have been showering on him. He is now overwhelmed with the appreciation he has received from none other than Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. The elated actor has again taken to his Twitter page to share his gratitude for them.

He said that Kamal has always inspired him to seek bigger goals and set higher standards in cinema. He added that the Ulaganayagan has taught him to love and respect one another and to express those things during special moments.

Karthi received an unexpected call from Rajinikanth, and it is this gesture of the Superstar to appreciate other stars that impressed him. He posted, "Rajini sir, a call from you is extremely special. Your courtesy to reach out to others to appreciate their work and the joy that you give us is always endearing. Thank you sir (sic)."

Jayam Ravi, who played the titular role in the film, too, thanked Rajinikanth the other day for calling him to appreciate his performance. Kamal Haasan and Karthi came together at a press interaction yesterday after the former watched the Mani Ratnam movie in an IMAX theatre in Chennai.

All eyes are now on the film's makers to announce the release date of its sequel. The movie will hit the screens in 2023, but the team is yet to come up with the exact date of release.
