Sri Divya to play Karthi's sister in Karthi 27

The makers of Karthi 27, the upcoming film of Karthi and 96-fame director Premkumar, have released a special poster of actress Sri Divya! On the occasion of Sri Divya’s birthday, Suriya’s production house 2D Entertainments, which backs Karthi 27, took to their social media pages to release a special poster of the actress. It has now been confirmed that the actress is indeed a part of Karthi’s upcoming film and is said to be playing an interesting role in the film.

Sri Divya to play Karthi’s sister in Karthi 27?

According to reports, Sri Divya is all set to essay the role of Karthi’s sister in the film. It is also revealed that the shooting of the film has already been completed and is currently in its post-production stage. It is also speculated that Tamil serial actress Swathi Konde is part of the film. An official confirmation from the team about these vital details is awaited.

All about Karthi 27

Touted to be a family drama, the film stars Karthi and Arvind Swamy as main leads. According to the latest reports, the upcoming film is said to be based on two friends who become arch-enemies. Although the makers are yet to reveal the official title of the film, according to a few reports, the 27th film of the Japan actor will be titled Mei Azhagan. An official announcement of the same is yet to be made by the team.

On the technical front, the film’s camera work has been handled by cinematographer Sathyan Sooryan, with Govind Vasantha scoring the music.

Karthi’s exciting lineup

Apart from Karthi 27, the star will be seen in numerous exciting projects including Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial Kaithi 2, which is likely to go on floors next year. The popular actor will also be seen in other sequels of his previous films, including P S Mithran’s Sardar 2, H Vinoth’s Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru 2 and Nalan Kumarasamy’s Vaa Vaathiyaare.
