Karnasubarner Guptodhon: Ishaa Saha gives her Muhurat shot for the third installment of Sona Da franchise

Karnasubarner Guptodhon is the third title for the Sona da adventure series franchise which features Ishaa Saha, Abir Chatterjee and Arjun Chatterjee and will be directed by Dhrubo Banerjee

Ishaa Saha has started shooting for Karnasubarner Guptodhon. She gave the mahurat shot for the film. The actress was spotted with a clapstick ringing the bell for the third installment in the Sona Da franchise.

That's right. Abir Chatterjee, Arjun Chakraborty and Ishaa Saha are all set to start the third chapter of the adventurous treasure hunt franchise.

Guptodhoner Sondhane (2018), which was the first chapter of the series, garnered a lot of attention and praise. Durgeshgorer Guptodhon (2019) was a sequel and the second film in the Sona da franchise. It proved to be yet another box office blockbuster and the highest-grossing film of 2019.

This one too will portray another adventurous journey of the trio Jhinuk (Ishaa), Abir (Arjun) and Sona da (Abir). Flavoured in a mysterious labyrinth of history and lore, laden with hidden codes, secret language, riddles and ciphers, Sona da, Jhinuk and Abir have always captured the imagination of Bengali audiences.

Karnasubarna is actually the name of a place. It is presently located in Berhampore and was the capital of King Shashanka, who was the first independent ruler of Bengal.

Ishaa started her career with Bengali television and later made her debut in Bengali cinema in 2017 as a lead with Projapoti Biskut which was directed by Anindya Chatterjee.

She received Filmfare Awards East for best actor (Female). Last year, Ishaa was cast opposite Dev in Dhrubo Banerjee’s magnum opus Golondaaj, which also became a huge Box Office success.

Trends descend on the entertainment industry like a storm and sometimes they manage to create monumental shifts in the market. The popularity of historical mysteries amongst Bangla cinema lovers has only grown over the last few years.

Dhrubo Banerjee is all set to enthrall the audience with this exciting treasure hunt quest featuring our desi Indiana Jones. The film is slated to release on September 30 in theatres.

Post its theatrical run, Karnasubarner Guptodhon is likely to be released on Hoichoi. The makers, however, are yet to make an official announcement about the OTT release date for this film.
