Durga Pujo is here and on Panchami, four important Bengali films will drop. Sonada franchise's third instalment, Karnasubarner Guptodhon, Parambrata Chatterjee’s Boudi Canteen, Dev and Prosenjit Chatterjee’s Kacher Manush, and Chandreyee Ghosh’s Mission Everest is slated to be this year’s festival releases. Meanwhile, soon after the opening of advance booking windows, Karnasubarner Guptodhon saw a massive sale. With a sale of 20 thousand tickets, it now marks the highest advance ticket sales since the release of any Bengali film ever. Directed by Dhrubo Banerjee, the film stars Abir Chatterjee, Ishaa Saha, Arjun Chakrabarty, and Saurav Das in the lead roles.
As per reports, Karnasubarner Guptodhon has so far bagged 117 shows, as opposed to 89 shows for Kacher Manush, 36 shows for Boudi Canteen, and seven shows for Mission Everest.
After a lull for two years, a record number of moviegoers are expected to visit cinemas during the festive week. The response to pre-sales has been unprecedented and Karnasubarner Guptodhon has clearly taken the lead in terms of ticket sales.
The film will open worldwide on the same day. It will be released across various parts of national cities such as Tezpur, Guwahati, Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bhubaneshwar, and Ranchi. There will be a release in Canada too. Meanwhile, on October 7, 15, and 23, it will be released in the UAE, USA, Australia, and the Netherlands.
