The Indian version of Revenge which aired on ABC, has an ensemble cast and a teaser that debuted on Disney+ Hotstar at the beginning of 2024. Titled Karmma Calling, the series is headlined by Raveena Tandon, where she is a part of the elite society and everything around her crumbles down because of one person, Karma Talwar, played by Namrata Sheth.

Plot and main cast

The two-minute trailer showcases scenes brimming with suspense, mystery, and intrigue, leading up to the January 26 launch of Karmma Calling. Indrani Kothari, played by Raveena, is the queen of the glitzy Alibaug society. When Karma (Namrata) becomes a member of the town's elite, she challenges her.

Along with Varun Sood, Raveena and Namrata are the main cast members. Gaurav Sharma, Waluscha D'Souza, Amy Aela, Viraf Patel, and Piyush Khati are the recently revealed important cast members.

About Revenge and its adaptation

R.A.T. Films produces Karmma Calling, adapted by Ruchi Narain from the 2011–2015 ABC drama Revenge owned by Disney. The young woman, Emily VanCamp, seeks vengeance on the people who wronged her twenty years ago in the Mike Kelley drama, which is based on Alexander Dumas' 1844 book The Count of Montecristo and produced by ABC Signature. The director of the Indian series is Narain.

Speaking about Karmma Calling Disney Star's Head of Content, Gaurav Banerjee, stated that they bring to audiences an entertaining story that narrates a tale of two powerful women in a glamorous set-up and around the themes of love, deceit, betrayal, romance, and vengeance that will resonate with the viewers. The show takes place on Disney+ Hotstar and the HSM Entertainment Network. Ruchi Narain and R.A.T. Films have collaborated ingeniously to bring this lavish series to life.

The story of the mysterious Karma Talwar and the beautiful, powerful Indrani Kothari will captivate viewers on Disney+ Hotstar, as Raveena noted.

The Disney+ Hotstar premiere of Karmma Calling is scheduled for January 26, 2024.
