Karisma Kapoor feels 'lucky' about her film choices; here's why...

Karisma Kapoor was last seen on OTT on ZEE5's Mentalhood. The actress will be seen in the soon-to-be-released Netflix murder mystery film Murder Mubarak which is set to premiere on March 15. Du ring the trailer release event that was held in Mumbai today, Karisma discussed her approach to choosing films. Here's what she had to say...

Karisma Kapoor does selective work out of choice

Speaking about the kind of projects she likes to do, Karisma said, “To be very honest, I do selective work out of choice. I like to be comfortable. I am lucky and thankful to be in a position where I can say yes or no.” She added that she likes picking projects based on how she feels about them, saying that they have to be interesting enough to make her want to leave the comfort of her home. Acknowledging that she has been fortunate to essay some unusual characters, she added that she needs to be “motivated and excited to go to a set.”

Speaking about what made Murder Mubarak an interesting project for her, Karisma said, “Homi is a dear friend. When I heard the script, my first reaction was that I had to be part of this unusual film.” Both she and Homi went to the same school and Karisma loves the fact that he is a quirky filmmaker.

While drawing parallels between content on OTT and traditional films, the actress told the media present at the trailer launch event that she thinks that what one sees on OTT platforms is more real. From a performer's perspective, she added that actors are given more time to prepare for their roles on OTT projects. Karisma promised that audiences would get to see her in a different light in Murder Mubarak.
