The forthcoming film is co-produced by Ekta Kapoor.
Kareena Kapoor Khan has announced her next post-Laal Singh Chaddha. The actor will not only feature in Hansal Mehta's forthcoming directorial but also co-produce the film with Ekta Kapoor. The announcement of the same has been officially made and it will definitely leave fans of Kareena excited. Interestingly, the untitled film will also be her first release post the birth of her second son Jehangir Ali Khan.
Talking about the project, Kareena told Mid Day, "I’m honoured to work as a producer on this film with Ekta. I am a huge fan of Hansal’s movies, and to work with him for the first time will be special. This film marks a lot of firsts."

Whereas Hansal said that they aim to create a gripping and moody thriller. He hopes that the role played by Kareena will do justice to her talent as an actor. Mehta is looking forward to venturing on this journey with Ekta and Kareena while calling them powerhouses of talent.
While praising Kareena, Ekta called her 'a dynamite combination of star power and talent'. She added that to have Hansal tell this story makes the project all the more exciting.
The film is touted to be a thriller based on a true incident and will be shot in the UK.

Meanwhile, Kareena wrapped the shoot of her upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha during her second pregnancy last year. The actor is paired opposite Aamir Khan in the film who plays the titular role. Directed by Advait Chandan, the film is likely to hit the screens during the Christmas weekend this year.
On the other hand, Hansal has several projects in his kitty including Scam 2003 which is the sequel to his hit web series Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story. He is helming two films namely Captain India and Faraaz.
