Joyce explained that although they were divorced, they had started living together again over the past few years. She mentioned that Malaika's father had a routine of sitting on the balcony every morning to read the newspapers.
On the morning of the incident, Joyce noticed Anil’s slippers in the living room and this led her to search for him on the balcony. But he wasn't there. As she leaned over the balcony railing to look down, she saw a commotion and the building's guard shouting for help. This is when she realized that something was terribly wrong.
