Crew song Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai sees Kareena Kapoor Khan recreate Madhuri Dixit's iconic track
Ahead of Crew song Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai being unveiled, Kareena Kapoor Khan took to Instagram to share her version of the same. She gave the song a western twist, something that the track also explores. Kareena’s outfit was perfect for both the theme of the movie and the song. She shared the same on Instagram with an interesting caption. Crew, produced by Ektaa and Rhea Kapoor, will release in theatres on March 29.
The caption
For her caption, Kareena wrote Buckle and added the up emoticon, which is also what airhostesses say before a flight – Buckle Up. She added the movie Crew and Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai as hashtags. The actress also shared a black heart emoticon, because her outfit of the day was black.
Kareena’s OOTD
Kareena’s outfit was enhanced with a buckle but not on the usual waist. Her attire had a buckle just above the chest. It was on a black halter-neck crop top, which Kareena paired with a black full-length skirt. She left her hair unkempt and paired her look with many accessories, including gold rings, bangles and earrings.
Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai unveiled
The recreated version of Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai, from Crew, has been unveiled. The song’s visuals are not limited to an ethnic outfit but the airhostesses are seen in their uniform (and western outfits) in most scenes. Kareena is the only one wearing a pink choli and dancing in the song. She pairs it up with a pearl and emerald choker necklace.
The song also features Kriti Sanon and Tabu. Apart from them, Kapil Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh’s roles are clearer this time around – they play Tabu and Kriti’s lovers respectively. Diljit is also the singer of the track with IP Singh, Alka Yagnik and Ila Arun. Alka and Ila were the voice of the original track as well.
The original song Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai is from Khal Nayak, featuring Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt. Madhuri’s dance to the track, wearing traditional attire, made the song iconic.
