Kareena Kapoor Khan, who recently made her OTT debut on Netflix, is now talking about female actors being asked about age
There are no two ways about the fact that 2023 belonged to the bandwagon of the OGs in Bollywood who bounced back to the mainstream and ruled it while giving the young ones chances to exist around them and mostly admire them. We are certainly not talking about the quality of the content, but the crowd pull that was evident. While Sunny Deol was back with Gadar 2, Rani Mukerji moved us all with her performance, Kareena Kapoor Khan re-established herself successfully for the umpteenth time, and Tabu was back with Vishal Bhardwaj. Kajol made her OTT debut, and legendary Dharmendra romanced Shabana Azmi.
Kareena Kapoor On Rani Mukerji And Tabu:
So now you have an idea of why we say they ruled 2023. Turns out their power never fades, and the vibe lives on. Even Kareena Kapoor Khan feels the same as she now talks about the infamous ‘age’ factor when it comes to female actors. The Jaane Jaan actor, who was massively appreciated for her performance, is opening up about how Rani Mukerji and Tabu have still got their spark and are doing better than even the younger lot.
Kareena Kapoor Khan, in her interview with Forbes, addressed the question about age and how it affects the acting career. She, in fact, said that age doesn’t matter at all in the very first place. She gave an example of Rani Mukerji and Tabu. “Rani is absolutely cinematic in every which way. Whatever role she plays, she just transforms on the screen. You cannot take your eyes off her,” said Kareena.

Kareena Kapoor Khan also asserted that Rani Mukerji and Tabu are even better than the younger lot. She went on to add how the male contemporaries are never asked the question about age and why it is the women who are. “All these actors are doing better than even, sorry, but even the younger lot. We're all raring to go.” She concluded that age is just a number, and the question about age should not even be asked.
