Karan Johar treats BTS photo from sets of Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt starrer Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani

The multistarrer romantic film is likely to hit the screens in 2022.

Filmmaker Karan Johar recently took to his Instagram story and shared a BTS photo featuring the Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani film crew as they worked on a busy day. From the looks of it, it appears as if they were working indoors. He added hashtags along with the photo and it goes “#shootlife #rockyaurranikipremkahani.”

Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani is an upcoming Hindi flick that will see superstars such as Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. The film is written by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan and Sumit Roy. The movie was announced on July 6 by Karan himself and is slated for a release in 2022.

The film will see Dharmendra and Jaya Bachchan being a part of Ranveer’s family while Shabana Azmi is a member of Alia Bhatt’s family. The last movie to be released in theatres that were directed by Karan was Ae Dil Hai Mushkil back in 2016. The flick starred Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Fawad Khan.

Later he directed anthologies such as Lust Stories (2018) and Ghost Stories (2020). Apart from Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani Karan is busy with his project Takht as well. He has other projects lined up wherein he will be producing apart from directing. This includes Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer Sooryavanshi and Ranbir Kapoor & Alia Bhatt starring fantasy drama Brahmastra.

Karan is also set to launch South sensation Vijay Devarakonda in Bollywood with Liger which will see Ananya Panday in the lead role as well.
