Karan Johar has expressed gratitude to Shweta Bachchan on the occasion of her birthday. The filmmaker thanked her for being a dua to his kids - Yash and Roohi.
Filmmaker Karan Johar has been friends with Shweta Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan for the longest time now. They have been buddies since their childhood. On the occasion of Shweta's birthday, Karan dedicated a special post to his friend. The filmmaker mentioned that his best childhood memories have been with Shweta and Abhishek. KJo also thanked her for springing into action as bua to his children - Yash and Roohi.
Karan Johar took to his official Instagram account and shared a series of photos with Shweta Bachchan. The filmmaker also revealed that Abhishek once tied him and Shweta to a tree in Madh Island as a prank when they were kids. He added that his mother Hiroo Johar considers Shweta as her daughter while he considers her as his sister.
"I love you Shweta …. Thank you for springing into action as a Bua to my bachas as they were bought into this world …With all your quirks and hysterias I love you …. You are entertaining and loving in equal measure (sic)," Karan captioned his IG post.
Reacting to Karan's post, Shweta thanked him for the special gesture and said she loves him a lot. "As far as children go, it takes a village no one knows that better than you (sic)," added Shweta. She also mentioned that she is glad to be part of his children's world.
Earlier, on Neha Dhupia's show BFFs with Vogue, Karan Johar revealed that Shweta Bachchan is obsessed with her children - Navya Nanda and Agastya Nanda. He said, "She is the world’s biggest stalker. She is the Jagga Jasoos on the Internet. And she’ll discuss all of them, not just Navya. Aryan, Suhana, Ananya." For the uninitiated, Shweta's son Agastya made his acting debut with The Archies in December 2023.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Karan Johar-backed film Yodha hit the silver screen on March 15, 2024. The movie stars Sidharth Malhotra, Raashii Khanna and Disha Patani.
