Karan Johar also added, "Kohrra is arguably the best show I've seen since Trial by Fire."
Kohrra on Netflix has gotten all the attention it deserves since it premiered on Saturday. The slow-burn thriller is touted to be among the best series of 2023, and the fan base is increasing day by day. Karan Johar is the latest celebrity to heap praise on Kohrra and he penned a long note on his Instagram page stating the same.
The ace filmmaker started by writing, "Sometimes the fog never lifts and leaves everything gloomy and even dark, much like the human personality. The most recent Netflix release, Kohrra is arguably the best show I've seen since Trial by Fire (both series are under the direction of brilliant new director Randeep Jha). What starts off as a murder procedural goes on to scratch the surface of parental patriarchy and entitlement, the psychology of a disturbed childhood, a woman’s right to passion and compassion, and dealing with your inner demons. (sic)"
While lauding the whole team of Kohrra Karan went on to state, "This brilliantly written show is a master class in character development, and the balance of that with intrigue is a tightrope that Sudip Sharma, Gunjit Chopra, and Diggi Sisodia walk without a false note. Suvinder Vicky, who is and will be the revelation of 2023 across film and streaming, completely blew me away with his performances. His silence can launch a million scripts! Barun Sobti is outstanding. Shuttling between machismo and vulnerability, he nails the part with veteran ease. The ensemble, Harleen Sethi, Manish Chaudhari, Varun Badola, and Rachel Shelley, are pitch-perfect and so good! (sic)"
In an impeccable way, KJo also praised the producers for backing this "silent noise." He stated, "This authentic, heartbreaking, and yet emotionally thrilling digital masterpiece needs all your time and attention! My congratulations to Karnesh Ssharma and Clean Slate Films for creating such brilliant content and to the entire Netflix family for raising the bar. Watch Kohrra and absorb its silent noise. (sic)"
Meanwhile, Karan is gearing up for the release of his latest directorial, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
