Karan Johar differentiates Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh: ‘Ranbir is calm and composed; Ranveer is energetic’

Party toh banti hai! Within a span of just six days, filmmaker Karan Johar’s directorial, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani minted over Rs 67 crores at the box office in India. Starring superstars Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles, this movie details how a young couple seeks approval from their respective families before tying the knot.

Today, the lead actors of the movie, along with Karan Johar, arrived in style at a press meet of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Here, all of them talked in detail about what makes this movie special, especially for movie buffs.

Narrating the journey in Bollywood, Karan Johar mentioned that he is glad to be a director of movies which featured Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor in it. He mentions that prior to working with Ranveer on the sets of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani he was closely working with superstar Ranbir Kapoor for the 2016 movie, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani thus, marks Karan Johar’s return as a director of movies after a gap of seven years.

Speaking at the press meet today, Karan Johar said, “Patani kya khaake Ranveer paida hua tha. Patani abhi bhi kya khaata hai. Lekin shayad hee main, aur Alia bhi ‘Sehmat’ hogi, pun intended, that nobody brings that kind of energy that Ranveer Singh comes with on the film set.”

“Maine isse pehle Ranbir Kapoor ke saath kaam kiya tha. Who bahut hee calm, composed hai aur khud ki energy leke aata tha set pe. But when I met Ranveer, I felt like a cultural shock on the set. Yeh (Ranveer) joh bhi energy set pe leke aata hai, it is only to enhance his performance on the set,” said Karan Johar.

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani was released on July 28 and features Varun Dhawan, Ananya Panday, Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor in cameo appearances.
