In an unexpected turn of events, popular filmmaker-producer Karan Johar has decided to quit Twitter. He took the social media platform to announce the same, leaving his fans and followers shocked. According to him, the decision has been made in search of more positive energy in life.

He tweeted, "Making space for more positive energies only and this is step one towards that. Goodbye Twitter (sic)." A few of his fans have expressed disbelief over the same, and they hope that he would return soon to the platform. Unfortunately, most of the replies in the comment section are quite insensitive, to say the least.

From making fun of his popular Koffee with Karan show to his relationships with a few in the industry and some of his recent movies, it looks like trolls are having a field day in the comment section. Some even made his morphed pics and came up with lewd comments, while a few others cursed him for encouraging nepotism.

Many celebrities in the past have quit Twitter, but some of them have returned to the platform after a short hiatus, leaving their fans excited. Karan's fans are eagerly waiting to know if he would make a similar re-entry to surprise his followers.

Karan's last production venture was Brahmastra: Part One. The Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt-starrer was his fourth production in 2022 after Gehraiyaan, Jugjugg Jeeyo and Liger. Yodha and Dostana 2 are two much-awaited films of his that are expected to release next year.

His directorial project, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, is likely to hit the screens in 2023. This will be his theatrical release after a seven-year hiatus. The star-studded Ae Dil Hai Mushkil which was released in 2016 was his previous theatrical outing.
