Rishab Shetty in all his glory

Rishab Shetty’s Kantara has reached all corners of the country and is running successfully in each dubbed version. Barring the Malayalam version, the film has been released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu and each of the three has been fetching great results at the box office for the makers. And to express gratitude and soak up the love of the audience, Rishab Shetty has been touring the country with his team, wearing his heart on his sleeve.

And in the same vein, the actor-director reached the city of Chennai to pay surprise visits to theatre audiences during the screening of his film. A glimpse of one such surprise visit was shared by the distributors online wherein Rishab, dressed quintessentially in a dhoti and shirt, walked in on an audience and received an overwhelming response from the packed cinema hall. He would be cheered on by the crowd with claps and hoots and, thanks to the fact that Rishab Shetty addressed everyone in Tamil, the response only got even wilder!

And the same factor of being able to speak fluent Tamil has charmed everyone on the internet. Rishab and his team, who were recently stationed in Hyderabad and then Mumbai to promote the Telugu and Hindi versions of Kantara, were welcomed emphatically by the Chennai media and have been interacting with various agencies ever since about his film. His managing to whip out proper responses in the Tamil language also has done wonders as netizens now hail him as a multitalented, multilingual artist.

Although Kantara Tamil got off to a slow start compared to the Hindi and Tamil versions, the film has put on a fantastic show overall at the box office. Kantara is available in all four languages in Chennai (and Bengaluru) and based on the latest media reports, the film has managed to book out multiple shows across the city and even warranted an increase in show count. Kantara Tamil has been distributed by Dream Warrior Pictures (owned by brothers S.R. Prakashbabu and S.R. Prabhu).
