Amazon Prime Video took to social media to emphatically announce the digital premiere date of Kantara
Amazon Prime Video's latest tweet has put an end to a rather taxing period of anticipation as it carries the all-important announcement regarding Kantara's OTT release. Rishab Shetty's blockbuster film is all set to have its exclusive worldwide premiere on the platform on November 24 and members can stream the film in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
The digital premiere of Kantara comes on the back of the phenomenal box-office success of the film. Reportedly made at a modest budget of Rs. 16 crores, Rishab Shetty's action adventure has grossed more than Rs. 400 crores worldwide over the course of 55 days, having broken several records along the way. The OTT premiere has been preluded by an overwhelming response from the admirers of the film who ardently looked forward to a repeated viewing from the comfort of their homes. Both Amazon Prime Video and makers Hombale Films were reluctant all along to discuss the OTT release citing a few contingencies but many netizens and industry trackers reckoned with certainty that the film will release on Prime Video on November 24.
On the digital premiere, actor-director of Kantara, Rishab Shetty shares, "Audiences from all corners of the country have showered immense love on Kantara and I am extremely excited that with its global digital premiere on Prime Video we will be able to take our labour of love and hard work to a wider audience worldwide. It is a story that has universal appeal but the plot’s local flavour will keep viewers intrigued until the very end!"
Producer Vijay Kiragandur, in the same vein, added that the entire team of Hombale Films is delighted to take the film to audiences across the globe.
"At Hombale Films, we are always looking at telling engaging tales in an extraordinary yet relatable manner. Kantara is yet another film by us that has touched hearts of audiences from varied regions and backgrounds. Rishab and the entire cast and crew have worked incredibly hard to create this beautiful film and we are delighted to take it to audiences across the globe through the exclusive launch on Prime Video,” said Kiragandur in his press statement.
