The teaser of Kannappa, the upcoming Telugu film starring actor Vishnu Manchu in the lead role, was released by the makers on social media on Friday. The film, which is helmed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, has a stellar ensemble cast hailing from various industries.

The makers of Vishnu Manchu’s highly anticipated film Kannappa released the film’s teaser. The teaser begins with a voiceover chanting "Om Nama Sivaye" as it continues to say that 50 men were dispatched to uproot and bring Vayulinga, who were killed. We are also shown a tribal community as we are introduced to Vishnu Manchu as a saviour. There are combat scenes, exclusive world building and war scenes. The trailer gives a peek into the world of Kannappa. Going by the trailer, Kannappa is touted to have mythical and fantasy elements in the storyline. The makers have not spilled out the details of the story.
The film features a star ensemble, including actors Mohan Babu, Mohanlal, Prabhas, Preity Mukundhan, Akshay Kumar, Sarathkumar, and Kajal Aggarwal. The trailer does not show glimpses of these stars, keeping it as a surprise element in the film. Their roles have been kept under wraps. However, it will be quite interesting to watch how the film will be panning out and what key roles these actors have to play.

The film is backed by Mohan Babu under the banners 24 Frames Factory and AVA Entertainment. Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, it is shot by cinematographer Sheldon Chau and has editing done by Anthony Gonsalvez. Stephen Devassay is the music director of the film.
Kannappa is based on a true story and will be released in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi. The film was in the news after Manchu Vishnu had also printed the story of Kannappa as a book and released it on the occasion of his father, legendary actor Mohan Babu's birthday, sometime back.
