Helmed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, Vishnu Manchu’s Kannappa also stars Mohanlal, Shivarajkumar, and Prabhas
The shoot of Telugu actor Vishnu Manchu’s upcoming magnum opus mythological drama Kannapa has wrapped up. The makers of the film had earlier released a striking first-look poster of the much-anticipated film, showcasing Vishnu Manchu as the warrior. Audiences responded favorably to the poster. Mukesh Kumar Singh, a popular actor from the Mahabharata series, makes his directorial debut in Telugu with the drama. Vishnu’s father, actor Mohan Babu, is bankrolling the project under Ava Entertainment and 24 Frames Factory banners.
Led by Vishnu Manchu, a unit of 600 talented actors and technicians from New Zealand, Thailand, and India have finished their 90-day first shooting schedule in New Zealand. The team is now heading back to India after filming in the beautiful landscapes of New Zealand.
While revealing the first-look poster, the makers wrote, “Step into the world of Kannappa where the journey of an atheist Warrior to becoming Lord Shiva’s ultimate devotee comes to life.” (sic). In the poster, Vishnu plays an archer, gracefully holding a bow in a breathtaking pose. The actor has flowing locks in a mountainous region with a waterbody resembling a Shivalingam.
A star-studded movie cast for Kannappa
Kannappa has a star-studded cast that includes Mohan Babu, Mohanlal, Shivarajkumar, and Prabhas. Earlier, the makers had announced that Kollywood actor Sarath Kumar was roped in for the film.
