Hostel Hudugaru Bekagiddare
Debutant director Nithin Krishnamurthy’s campus comedy is, no doubt, one of the biggest hits of the year so far and was the film that managed to bring audiences back to theatres after the drought of good movies in the first half of the year. Although the team’s innovative marketing had grabbed eyeballs, the film had released amid stiff competition from Hollywood biggies like Oppenheimer and Barbie and still managed to not only hold its own, but also emerge immensely successful at the box office. Given the good showing it had in theatres, the team then dubbed the film and released it in Telugu too, where it was also warmly received. After several will it, won’t it dates for the OTT debut, Hostel Hudugaru Bekagiddare now has a confirmed date – it will be on Zee5 Kannada on September 15.
