Swathi Mutthina Male Haniye
Written and directed by Raj B Shetty, Swathi Mutthina Male Haniye is actress Ramya’s debut production venture. The film has Raj playing a terminally-ill guy called Aniketh, who meets a counsellor, Prerana (Siri Ravikumar), at the palliative care centre he enrols at to live out his last days. How he impacts her life, for better or worse, forms the crux of the narrative. Also starring Balaji Manohar, Gopalkrishna Deshpande and Sandhya Arekere in pivotal roles, the film has music by Midhun Mukundan and cinematography by Pravin Shriyan.
Bad Manners
Filmmaker Suri takes on the responsibility of relaunching Jr Rebel Star Abishek Ambareesh with the cop caper Bad Manners. Suri and Abishek have been fairly tight-lipped about the content of the film, and had even released a trailer that did not shed much light on it. What the filmmaker has said is that the film explores the manufacture and discrete sale of country-made guns and the investigation into it. Abishek is paired with Rachita Ram in the film that has music by Suri’s now regular collaborator, Charan Raj.
Sugar Factory
Directed by Deepak Aras, Sugar Factory is one of the many romantic dramas that leading man Darling Krishna signed up for in the aftermath of the success of Love Mocktail. The film has three leading ladies, Sonal Monteiro, Adhvithi Shetty and Shilpa Shetty. Krishna plays a bachelor with no interest in marriage, a sentiment that Sonal’s character also shares. What happens when they then fall in love is what Sugar Factory is all about. The film was majorly shot in Goa, which, according to the team, is one of its highlights.
Leo
After several unconfirmed reports that Thalapathy Vijay’s Dasara release Leo was heading to OTT on November 17, it turns out that the streamer has two films by the same name in the same week eventually. On November 21, an animated film called Leo with Adam Sandler in the lead, dropped on the streamer and on Friday, the Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial will also be there. The Tamil original film will have Kannada audio too.
