Tamil superstar Suriya shared an emotional note expressing his excitement about Kanguva calling it "huge and special."
On Wednesday, Tamil superstar Suriya wrapped up filming for his upcoming movie Kanguva. To celebrate this achievement, he shared an unreleased image from the film, offering a detailed glimpse of his warrior character.
Seated atop a horse, Suriya's portrayal in Kanguva exudes intensity as he prepares to enter the battlefield. With long locks, a dense beard, a body adorned with tattoos, and a sculpted physique, Suriya convincingly embodies the role of an enigmatic tribal warlord.
Suriya also shared an emotional note expressing his excitement about the film and adding to the hype around the film. "My last shot done for Kanguva! An entire unit filled with positivity! Kanguva is the most ambitious movie in Suriya's career. According to reports, the estimated budget of this movie is three times more than Suriya's biggest box office hits so far. The producers have made big investments in bringing this fantasy film to life in light of the growing popularity of South Indian movies in the Hindi-speaking states.
Earlier, the film's producer KE Gnanavel described Kanguva as Tamil cinema's answer to pan-India blockbusters like KGF, RRR and Baahubali.
Kanguva is written and directed by Siva, who is known for the melodramatic, run-off-the-mill family dramas. Kanguva, however, seems very fresh and unconventional in his filmography. The movie caught the imagination of the movie buffs the moment the filmmakers released the motion poster giving a glimpse of the film's genre and style.
And the expectations shot up following the release of a teaser revealing the first look of Suriya's warrior avatar. Besides Suriya, the film also stars Disha Patani, Bobby Deol, Natarajan Subramaniam, Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Anandaraj, Ravi Raghavendra, K. S. Ravikumar and B. S. Avinash.
