The teaser of Suriya’s much-awaited period film Kanguva, directed by Siva, is all set to be released soon
It's Kanguva time, and all others can step aside! The most exciting update of Suriya’s much-anticipated epic adventure has finally arrived. The makers of the film have now announced that the teaser of the epic period action drama will now be released on Tuesday! Yes, you read that right. The ‘Sizzle Teaser’, as it is called, will be unveiled on March 19. Studio Green, who are backing the project, took to their social media handles to announce the exciting update!
The team had earlier revealed that the film has entered the post-production phase, with actor Suriya beginning to dub for his portions. In a statement released, the makers had said that the post-production work was progressing at a rapid pace. The film is set to captivate audiences across the nation as it is released in multiple languages, the makers said, and promised a cinematic experience like no other.

Directed by Siva, Kanguva stars Hindi actors Bobby Deol and Disha Patani, along with Yogi Babu and Natarajan Subramaniam. Bobby Deol will be playing the role of the powerful Udhiran, the antagonist in the Suriya-starrer. Devi Sri Prasad is scoring the music for the film, with Vetri handling the cinematography. Billed as a pan-Indian film, Kanguva is expected to be released in multiple languages, including in Tamil and Hindi. The film will mark Suriya’s first collaboration with Siva.

As seen from the posters, Suriya is all set to play dual roles in the film which will unfold in two different timelines. One will feature a modern avatar, while the other will see Suriya essaying a warlord in prehistoric times.
Due to the delay in the extensive post-production works, the film might be released in late 2024, in conventional 2D, 3D and IMAX formats. Many reports suggest that the film might get a grand release date after the upcoming general elections.
