While Dhaakad is a spy action thriller, also starring Arjun Rampal, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is a horror-comedy, which also features Kiara Advani, Tabu and Rajpal Yadav.
Kangana Ranaut’s action thriller Dhaakad and Kartik Aaryan’s horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 hit theatres today. After just hours of their releases, both the movies have fallen prey to piracy.
According to reports, Dhaakad was made available in high definition quality on sites like Tamilrockers, Telegram, Movierulz, and others. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was leaked on notorious websites with an HD quality, reportedly available for download. Both the movies came out with a lot of fanfare and were expected to do well at the box office, but this is expected to affect the movies’ numbers.
Recently, Hindi movies such as Tiger Shroff’s Heropanti 2 and Ajay Devgn’s Runway 34 were also reportedly leaked on such sites, available for download. With no real answer as to how to protect movies from piracy, it still haunts makers who produce films that look to make good money at the box office.
Directed by Razneesh Ghai, Dhaakad is a spy action thriller which stars Kangana in all out action avatar. The movie also features Arjun Rampal, Divya Dutta as antagonists and Saswata Chatterjee in a supporting role. The film has received mixed to positive reviews.
“Kangana brings a lot to the table as Agent Agni in Dhaakad but it still feels like she did not tap into her full potential for the role. On the other hand, the second female lead Divya steals the show even in her brief appearances,'' read the movie’s review on OTTplay.
On the other hand, directed by Anees Bazmee, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is the spiritual sequel to the 2007 hit, Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Apart from Kartik, the movie also stars Kiara Advani, Tabu and Rajpal Yadav in important roles.
“Anees Bazmee brings back his comedy element, and it's worth the wait! Along with that, it's Tabu and Kartik Aaryan who take the film up a notch and will leave you impressed throughout. I can't forget about the music and background score, which have me hooked!” reads Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’s review on OTTplay.
Both the movies are available now in theatres around the country.
