Kangana Ranaut and Sonu Sood are having a face-off yet again. You must have seen the cold war on Twitter, but for the entire story and what is going on, we are here to tell you. It all started when Sonu Sood reacted to Uttar Pradesh and Haridwar authorities' mandate for eateries along the Kanwar Yatra route to display the names of their owners. While reacting to this mandate, Sood wrote, “There should be only one nameplate on every shop: 'HUMANITY'.”

Here's What Happened

This post from Sonu didn’t sit well with many, including BJP MP Kangana Ranaut, who reacted to the post and shared, "Agree, Halal should be replaced with 'HUMANITY.'" Along with Kangana’s criticism, many called out Sonu for his words. One user took to his X (formerly Twitter) and shared a video of a man spitting on chapati dough. While sharing the video, the user wrote, “The roti smeared with spit should be parceled to Sonu Sood, so that brotherhood remains intact!"

Responding to the same, Sonu shared, “Our Shri Ram Ji ate the sour berries of Shabri, so why can't I eat them? Violence can be defeated by non-violence, my brother. Humanity must remain intact. Jai Shri Ram.”

Kangana, being Kangana, couldn't miss the opportunity to share her strong viewpoint. While reacting to Sonu’s tweet, Kangana wrote, “Next you know Sonu ji will direct his own Ramayana based on his own personal findings about God and religion. Wah kya baat hai Bollywood se ek aur Ramayana.”

Sonu was not the only one who criticized the UP government’s decision of having the owner’s name on every shop and vehicle in between the Kanwar Yatra route. Javed Akhtar too reacted to the orders and shared, "Muzaffarnagar UP police has given instructions that on the route of a particular religious procession in the near future, all the shops, restaurants, and even vehicles should show the name of the owner prominently and clearly. Why? In Nazi Germany, they used to make only a mark on particular shops and houses.”

Talking about Sonu Sood and Kangana Ranaut, the two were friends earlier, but their fallout came after Manikarnika. During the shoot of Manikarnika, Sonu Sood left the film midway, stating that he couldn’t work under two directors. Meanwhile, Kangana shared that, according to her, Sonu didn’t want to work under a female director. These arguments and differences soured their relationship.
