Kangana Ranaut's film Emergency gets new release date; here's when it will hit theatres

Kangana Ranaut's film Emergency's new release date has been announced. The film, directed by Ranaut, was earlier set to release in cinemas on June 14, 2024.

Kangana Ranaut's film Emergency was scheduled for a theatrical release on June 14, 2024. However, the makers announced that the film's release had been postponed. Over a month later, the new release date of Emergency has been announced. A while ago, Kangana shared her character poster from the film and revealed that her film will be released on September 6, 2024. For the uninitiated, the film's release was postponed from June 14 as Kangana was busy with her political campaigns in May.

Emergency new release date locked!

Kangana Ranaut took to her official Instagram handle and shared a new poster for Emergency. While announcing the new release date, the actress captioned her post, "The Beginning of the 50th Year of Independent India’s Darkest Chapter, Announcing Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency In Cinemas on 6th September 2024. The Explosive Saga of The Most Controversial Episode of The History of Indian Democracy, EmergencyOn6Sept in cinemas worldwide (sic)."

Emergency has been directed by Kangana Ranaut, while Zee Studios and Manikarnika Films have backed the movie. When the film was set for a June 14 release, it was about to clash with Kartik Aaryan's Chandu Champion. But the clash was averted as Emergency makers announced the postponement of the film's release.

Why was Emergency postponed?

Emergency was postponed due to Kangana Ranaut's political commitments. The makers of her film announced the delay in Emergency's release on Instagram. In May, they penned a note, in which it was mentioned that as Kangana prioritised her duty to the nation and commitment to serve the country, the release date of her film had to be postponed.

Apart from Kangana Ranaut, the star cast of Emergency includes the late Satish Kaushik, Shreyas Talpade, Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhry, and Milind Soman in pivotal roles.
