Kangana Ranaut had recently announced contesting elections from BJP
Kangana Ranaut has begun her electoral campaign in Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi. She spoke about Congress’ Rahul Gandhi. The actress announced her switch to politics recently. This is after all the speculations of her joining politics and Kangana resigning from acting (as she declared on Twitter).
Kangana’s electoral campaign
Kangana Ranaut began her electoral campaign with Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi. She found support in females from the area. She is a part of BJP.
Kangana speaks about Congress
During her rally, Kangana accused that Congress could not accept her nominations from Mandi and did cheap politics with her. The actress-turned-politician alleged that Rahul Gandhi from the political party tried to make derogatory remarks about the women (Kangana addresses them as the sisters) of Mandi. Kangana reminded the people present that Mandi is the place which organizes the biggest Maha Shivratri year after year. She addressed the remarks and said that there are no other expectations from Congress.
When Kangana announced resignation from acting
Back when Kangana said that she is quitting acting, the actress had said that she wants to get into a restaurant business. Kangana denied claims about joining politics every single time it was pointed out. This is including when she made the announcement of quitting acting. The actress had gone ahead and ‘clarified’ to not overthink and that she will go into restaurant business, when a user asked her if she will contest elections in 2024 (which she is now doing). She further said that politics is not business but ‘lokseva.’ Kangana recently confirmed contesting elections from Himachal Pradesh and she has started the rally now.
On the acting front, Kangana faced back-to-back flops with movies. The actress however said that her reason to quit is because of the kind of treatment women receive in Bollywood. She said that women were treated unfair and that was accepted and normalized by all in the industry.
