The actor says he's not been very happy with several depictions of the Indian army in Indian cinema, but this film is an exception.
Sidharth Malhotra starrer Shershaah has been appreciated ever since the film released on Amazon Prime Video. The movie has now caught Tamil actor Kamal Haasan's attention, who had nothing but praises for the Vishnuvardhan directorial.
Thanking Dharma Productions for giving the director a chance, Kamal congratulated Sidharth and Kiara Advani for their excellent work in the movie. In another tweet, he mentioned how his 'chest swells with pride' for the soldiers.
"Right from my childhood as a film fan and a patriot's son, I resented the way Indian army was depicted in some of our cinemas. Shershaah is that exception that makes my chest swell with pride for my soldiers," his tweet read.

Various celebrities and VIPs showered praises on the film in the past. Sidharth's film peer Alia Bhatt happened to be one of the first people to appreciate the film. Vicky Kaushal, whose role as a soldier was equally appreciated in Uri also congratulated both Sidharth and Kiara for the movie.
Vikram Batra's brother Vishal and his parents also showered love upon Sidharth, stating that they could not imagine anybody else but the actor in the role of Captain Vikram Batra. For the uninitiated, the project was initially going to be produced by Salman Khan, who wanted to launch Aayush Sharma in the film.
Shershaah is a story about Captain Batra and his spirit, while fighting for India during the Kargil war. The movie also starred Shiv Pandit, Raj Arjun, Pranay Pachauri, Himanshu Malhotra, Nikitin Dheer, Shataf Figure, Sahil Vaid, Anil Charanjit and Pawan Chopra in pivotal roles.
