Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan on Tuesday watched Thalapathy Vijay's latest movie Leo at popular cinemas in Chennai. A video of Kamal emerging out of cinemas after watching the movie and greeting the crowd has surfaced online and is going viral.
Kamal watched Leo in a special screening ahead of the grand success meet for the movie. As per the reports, Kamal will be attending the event as a special guest on November 1. However, an official confirmation of Kamal's participation in the Leo success meet is awaited.
Leo opened in cinemas on October 19 amid huge fanfare. However, upon release, the movie garnered mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike. The polarizing reactions divided the industry, fans and the internet. If Kamal attended the Leo event he would surely share his thoughts on the Thalapathy Vijay starrer.

It's noteworthy that Leo falls in the same cinematic universe as Kamal's Vikram and Karthi's Kaithi. Kamal plays a central figure in the fictional universe that director Lokesh Kanagaraj is building up.
Kamal also makes a small appearance at the end of Leo. Kamal's Vikram seems to be on a recruiting spree, forming a powerful team of highly skilled individuals to add more power to his fight for a drug-free society. And Leo is definitely on Vikram's radar.

In the meantime, the success meet will be the first on-ground promotional event for Leo. Earlier, the producers cancelled the much-awaited audio release event of Leo citing security reasons. And various other promotional events that were expected to take place before the release of Leo also didn't happen. But, the lack of ground promotions didn't stop Leo from taking the biggest-ever opening in the history of the Tamil film industry.
In less than two weeks, Leo's worldwide ticket sales are pegged at over Rs 500 crore.
