Chithha is one of the few Tamil films that have been scheduled for a release on September 28. SU Arun Kumar of Pannaiyarum Padminiyum, Sethupathi and Sindhubaadh fame has directed the movie which has been produced by Etaki Entertainment.

The makers unveiled its trailer a few weeks ago, offering a glimpse into the project's story. Siddharth and Nimisha Sajayan play pivotal roles in the family drama which revolves around the relationship between an uncle and his niece. Dhibu Ninan Thomas has composed songs for the movie; it is expected to be one of the highlights of the film.

Kamal Haasan expresses excitement about Chithha

The Ulaganayagan was the first person to launch the film's first promotional material earlier this year. He has now appeared in a video that has him wishing the team a grand success. The Indian 2 star also added that he is looking forward to the movie which is going to be a heart-warming tale between an uncle and a niece.

He then remembered his experience of being a Chithha or Chithappa (uncle). He recollected becoming a chithha at the age of four when his brother Charuhaasan's daughter Nandini was born.

Association with Siddharth

All praise for Siddharth, Kamal said that the former is someone who has always admired and encouraged unique concepts. He appreciated the actor's penchant for attempting interesting stories and pinned hopes on the movie entertaining the audience.

The two of them will be seen together in Indian 2 which is being helmed by Shankar. The big-budget drama will be released next year. It is heard that the much-awaited sequel is likely to hit the screens in August 2024.
