Kamal Haasan has reacted to the growing criticism against him due to his role as the host of the popular reality TV show Bigg Boss Tamil season 7.

Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan has been receiving a lot of flak on the internet for the last few weeks, courtesy of his popular reality TV show Bigg Boss Tamil. The current season took a drastic turn with the unexpected ouster of popular contestant Pradeep Antony sparking a wave of discontent among his supporters. Many have even accused Kamal of showing favouritism towards Maya and Poornima, who led the protest that led to Pradeep's out-of-turn eviction.
The recent developments also inspired a spoof video by a group of popular Tamil content creators. Titled By Pass Paavangal, the spoof video was published by a YouTube channel named Parithabangal. This satirical video takes a sharp dig at Kamal and his hosting style, quickly amassing over 2.5 million views within two days. The snippets from the video, particularly content creator Gopi mimicking Kamal spread like wildfire across the internet.
This video is the latest addition to the plethora of memes targeting Kamal over the show.

In addition to this, Poornima also criticized Kamal for not discussing topics that she deemed important. Kamal is receiving flak from both contestants and the viewers.
However, However, Kamal remains unfazed by the social media backlash. Addressing the criticism in a recent episode, Kamal said, "I pay attention to your criticisms, but won't get upset by them. Because I will never fear a meme."
"Once I am convinced that my belief is correct, I will stand by it. What is the worst that could happen? I might get imprisoned, that's all. But, before I believe in something I will carry out extensive research on that subject. I have done a lot of research even on the things I don't believe in," he added.
Kamal's fiery speech also carried a political undercurrent, with him urging people to favour critical thinking over blind faith.
"Only when I am convinced why I don't believe something, I will tell that to the public. Whether you believe it or not, that's your choice. But, you are witnessing the consequences of believing some things beyond a point. The things that you believe in should bring you peace and health, but must not turn into your illness. And the only cure for that disease is love," he urged.
