Kamal Haasan has been advised rest by the doctors and will be discharged soon
Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai after complaining of uneasiness, stomach ache and fever. Sources close to him say that it was part of a routine medical check-up but the actor has been advised to rest by the doctors.
The superstar has been busy lately and has been shuttling between various professional and personal commitments. He has been shooting for Shankar’s big budget film Indian 2, while filming Bigg Boss Tamil during the weekends and also taking care of his political duties.
The actor was in Hyderabad a few days ago, as part of his visit to director K Vishwanath, who had helmed his movies Kuruthipunal and Mahanadhi. The actor reached Chennai on Wednesday and was admitted to the hospital. Sources say that he will be discharged today.
The 68-year-old superstar, who had celebrated his birthday earlier this month, had also announced that he was set to team up with Ponniyin Selvan director Mani Ratnam after a gap of 35 years for a big project next year. The upcoming movie, which has AR Rahman as its music director, will be jointly produced by the actor and Udayanidhi Stalin.
Kamal Haasan made a terrific return earlier this year with Lokesh Kanagaraj’s action-thriller Vikram, which went on to become his highest grossing film ever, collecting Rs 450 crore at the worldwide box office. The movie, which also starred Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil, is part of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s universe that also includes characters essayed by Suriya and Karthi.
Rumours are also rife that Kamal Haasan and Vijay Sethupathi, who had played the antagonist in Vikram, will reunite for H Vinoth’s upcoming movie. The untitled movie could go on floors before the Mani Ratnam directorial. There’s also another rumour that Kamal Haasan could be part of Lokesh’s upcoming movie with Vijay.
