Based on the trailer, Kalvan promises to be a jungle adventure, revolving around an impulsive youngster played by Prakash. However, there seems to be more to the movie than the antics of a reckless youth. The film also appears to pack political and social commentary, highlighting the ills of discriminatory behaviour based on caste. Additionally, it seemingly boasts interesting visual effects in capturing the dangers and thrills of human-animal conflict.

Kalvan is due in cinemas on April 4.
