Prabhas is set to return to the silver screens with his ambitious film, Kalki 2898 AD. The movie, which marks the actor’s first collaboration with director Nag Ashwin is touted to be a futuristic sci-fi film. The popular star is set to play the role of Bhairava, a powerful man on a mission, in Kalki 2898 AD. In the recent interaction with Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and others in The Kalki Chronicles video Prabhas opened up about playing Bhairava and dropped major hints about his character.

In his chat with co-stars Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and producers Swapna and Priyanka Dutt, the Telugu superstar opened up about being Bhairava in the world of Kalki 2898 AD. According to Prabhas, his character Bhairava has grey shades, which makes it more fun. With his new revelation, the popular star confirmed that the fan theories about the character being an ally to Supreme Yaskin and his world, which is called ‘Complex’, are indeed true.
Prabhas added that Bhairava is a character that also has some superhero elements, leaving his fans highly excited. The superstar further added that he is also handling humour on the silver screen after a very long time, in Kalki 2898 AD. According to the popular Bhairava is one of the best characters he played on screen, so far. Well, the leading man’s words about his character have raised expectations over the world created by Nag Ashwin, for Kalki 2898 AD.
Kalki 2898 AD plot and Prabhas’ role
From the Kalki 2898 AD teasers and promo videos, it is safe to assume that Bhairava is a powerful and selfish man, who puts his needs first. He is assigned by Supreme Yaskin’s (the lead antagonist played by Kamal Haasan) commander Manas (Saswata Chatterjee), to find a woman named Sum-80 (Deepika Padukone), who carries the divine baby aka Kalki in her womb as per the prophecy. However, he is opposed by Immortal Ashwatthama (Amitabh Bachchan) who is assigned to safeguard the unborn 10th avatar of Lord Vishnu, from dark powers.
