Kalki 2898 AD: The epic dystopian science fiction film which features Prabhas and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles is now nearing the final stages of its production. The movie, which is helmed by talented filmmaker Nag Ashwin, is slated to hit the big screens on May 9, 2024. Ahead of the global release, the makers of Kalki 2898 AD have kicked off the grand promotional activities of the film. The team finally dropped the official character poster for Prabhas from the movie on social media today.
Kalki 2898 AD: Prabhas to play Bhairava in the film
The first character poster of the Nag Ashwin directorial, which has been going viral on social media, now introduces Prabhas’ character from the movie, Bhairava. The promising character poster features the Telugu superstar in a supremely stylish avatar. The leading man is seen sporting a top knot and an ash brown costume in his character poster. He completed his look with a futuristic, unique-looking pair of eyeglasses, body tattoos, and an armour suit.
“From the future streets of Kasi, Introducing 'BHAIRAVA' from #Kalki2898AD,” reads the official social media post of production banner Vyjayanthi Movies, which revealed the leading man’s character poster. If the reports are to be believed, the makers of the Nag Aswin directorial are now planning to drop the character posters of other star cast members from the movie in the upcoming days, on social media. The official teaser, on the other hand, is expected to be out by the beginning of April 2024.
Kalki 2898 AD: Here's what we know
As per the recent updates, Prabhas, Nag Ashwin, Bollywood actress Disha Patani, and the team are currently in Italy for the shooting of a special song number. The pictures of the duo, which were clicked from the location, have gone viral on social media recently. The entire filming of the much-awaited film is expected to be wrapped up in a few days. The makers, however, have already wrapped up a major portion of post-production work.

Kamal Haasan is playing the lead antagonist in the film, which also stars Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan in a pivotal role. Deepika Padukone is playing the female lead opposite Prabhas in the film, which stars Disha Patani in a special role. Pasupathy and Saswata Chatterjee play supporting roles in the film, which reportedly features director SS Rajamouli, Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur, Vijay Deverakonda, Malayalam actress Anna Ben, and others in cameo appearances.
