The trailer for Kakuda is finally out! Starring Sonakshi Sinha, Riteish Deshmukh and Saqib Saleem, the film promises to be a roller coaster ride of laughter and thrills.

Kakuda will be Sonakshi Sinha's first movie release after her marriage to Zaheer Iqbal. The actress will be seen alongside Riteish Deshmukh, Saqib Saleem, and Aasif Khan in the movie, which will premiere on ZEE5 (and on OTTplay Premium). With only a few days left for Kakuda's OTT release, the makers unveiled the trailer online. The Aditya Sarpotdar directorial promises to be a thrilling yet hilarious ride for viewers.
ZEE5 shared the trailer for Kakuda on YouTube as well as on social media. The film is about a village, Ratodi, which is trapped in time by a curse. Three people face a ghost in the movie, which makes the trio question superstition, tradition, and love. Every house in the village has two doors and one of them must be opened for Kakuda on Tuesdays at 7:15 pm.
While sharing the trailer online, the makers of Kakuda mentioned, "When her husband Sunny gets cursed by the terrifying ghost, Kakuda, Indira joins hands with a ghost hunter to find a solution. Can she save her husband before the curse claims his life? Premieres 12th July 2024. (sic)."
In Kakuda, Sonakshi Sinha plays the role of Indira but she isn't scared of the ghosts. As per her character introduction, the wrath of Kakuda might get personal with Indira. On the other hand, Riteish will be seen as Angrezi Tantrik, aka The Ghost Hunter. He is the only man who isn't scared of Kakuda.
Talking about Saqib Saleem, he plays Sunny, who is loving, funny, and caring except on Tuesdays. As for Aasif Khan, the actor will be seen as Kilvish, a good friend of Sunny. However, their friendship will be put to the test when they face Kakuda.
Earlier, in an official statement, Aditya Sarpotdar spoke about his upcoming movie, Kakuda. The filmmaker shared his thoughts about working on a film in the horror-comedy space. "It's a challenging task to make viewers simultaneously scared and amused, but with 'Kakuda,' I am confident that we have hit the right chord yet again," he said.
Meanwhile, Kakuda is scheduled for OTT release on July 12 on ZEE5 as well as OTTplay Premium.
