Kajol, whose resume spans multiple decades, now wants to try her hands at dark roles and has shared some interesting pictures.
2023 was a year we saw the stars of the 90s bounce back to the screens, mostly on OTT, and show the world and the new-age actors who the OGs are. While Dharmendra was showing his magic in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, or Shah Rukh Khan being his best self, there was Sushmita Sen in Aarya, and, of course, Kajol making her OTT debut. She was not in one but two projects, The Trial and Amit Sharma’s short in Lust Stories. She is being appreciated for the parts she played but seems like the actor is still not satisfied because she is yet to play one of her dream roles.
Kajol, who has played some of the most versatile roles in the past couple of decades, recently opened up on how she wants to play a dark character that is unapologetic and knows no boundary. She would love to be a Hannibal on a killing spree, crushing people under her car, and doing all kinds of unlawful things. Turns out that thought has stuck in her mind ever since and she cannot let it go so easily. She has now shared her AI-generated pictures on Instagram. And we feel it is high time some filmmaker writes one such script for her.
In her latest Instagram post, Kajol shared two pictures. In both, we can see her dressed in a gothic attire with a dead face looking into the camera. Hairstyles as commanding as possible, gowns in pitch black, and gaze ready to kill someone - these looks have won the internet. With the pictures, she wrote, “I ended up taking the thought home...Worth it! PS- I do like the look, might try it someday irl.” What is interesting is the hashtags she used. They are #myvillainera #projectgoals #MyHannibalLook.

Fans are already loving the looks and showering praises on the star. The comment section is full of requests to filmmakers to cast her as the villain. Even we are confused as to what is stopping writers and directors from shaping villain roles for the star. She has already proved she has got the quirk for it in Gupt. She was the killer and you deserve the spoiler now if you haven’t seen it already.
Talking about wanting to play a serial killer during a Netflix roundtable, Kajol said, 'I want to play the role of a serial killer. I want to play a completely black role, I would like to do this role without any excuse. However, I don't know if I will be able to manage it or not. I would enjoy doing this. I think I can do it better and it will work. This will be fun.”
Stay tuned to OTTplay for more on this and everything from the world of streaming and films.
