Kadak Singh trailer: Pankaj Tripathi delivers YET ANOTHER winning performance in a film that mirrors Retrograde Amnesia

The riveting trailer of Pankaj Tripathi starrer Kadak Singh has finally been released and leaves a lasting impression

So, the much-awaited trailer of Kadak Singh has finally been released. And the man in the centre (read ‘central character’) is none other than Pankaj Tripathi aka the man of all seasons and man of all reasons!

The trailer of the film starts with Kadak Singh ‘alias’ AK Shrivastav (Pankaj Tripathi), who happens to be the Joint Director at the Department of Financial Crimes, admitted to the hospital where he is battling ‘Retrograde Amnesia’. And the doctors opine that the chances of him regaining his memory are even lesser than negligible. Seeing him on the hospital bed, his extremely worried daughter (Sanjana Sanghi) tries to help him recall that he has a daughter, something that he flatly refuses to accept. After that, AK Shrivastav seems to be deriving his pleasure listening to everyone’s story, with an infectious smile on his face.

The first few moments of the trailer has him asking everyone as to how he landed up in the hospital. Just as when one starts feeling sympathetic towards him, there unravels his ‘past’ which shows him in a totally contradictory light from the present day. Thereafter starts a roller coaster ride of him and his memory oscillating between the past and the present moment. Just as when he is seated ‘comfortably’ on the hospital bed, he declares that, after all the twists and turns, the story will ultimately boil down to his suicide! By his own confession, he says that he was a ‘moralistic character’, who suddenly became corrupt! The trailer ends with Sanjana Sanghi explaining the reason why she had named him Kadak Singh.

The film ‘Kadak Singh’ has been directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Aniruddha Roy Chowdhary. Besides Pankaj Tripathi, the film also stars Parvathy Thiruvothu, Jaya Ahsan, Sanjana Sanghi, Dilip Shankar, Paresh Pahuja and Varun Buddhadev in prominent supporting roles. The film has been produced by Wiz Films (Andre Timmins, Viraf Sarkari & Sabbas Joseph), HT Content Studio (Mahesh Ramanathan) and KVN and has been co-produced by Shyam Sunder and Indrani Mukherjee.
