Kabzaa title track: Hindi lyrics and KGF vibes of song are unimpressive, say netizens
The first song from R Chandru’s much-awaited Kabzaa is here and so are the first impressions from netizens who waited patiently for half an hour, following a delayed launch. The Kabzaa title track, which was launched at an event in Hyderabad, and then made available online. Netizens remained divided about the title track, which has been written and composed by Ravi Basrur, but what they all loved was the BTS moment of the late Puneeth Rajkumar on the set of the film that Chandru used for the lyrical video.
One of the biggest flaws of the song, point out netizens, is Ravi’s obsession with Hindi lyrics. “basrur ella haadalu hindi iruthalanna, hindi bittu sog madappa,” wrote Nrupatunga Polakesi. Nithin chipped in, “Ravi basrur hindhi use maddhe title track madok agalla ansutte.” “Kabzaa Title Track alli KGF na Tofaan, Salam Rocky Bhai song kaṇisiddu naṅge obbaḷigenā?” added Prathibha.
Another user, Arun, wrote, “KGF shades ide!! That mother portion in between and that 'Bhai' on chorus. No doubt song is good but innu enadru different agi try madbekittu Basrur avru. The challenge he had was to not make it sound it like KGF songs. But ade agide:) #Kabzaa.” Shashikant added, “Don't know about the story of Kabzaa, but with every content which team is dropping it's just giving KGF vibes :) #KabzaaTitleTrack is mixture of Rocky Bhai + Dheera + Romeo title track. It's the next big thing from KFI, hope chandru don't disappoint us.”
There were some positives too. “The lighting in #kabzaa is incredible cinematographer AJ Shetty will be on high demand after the release he's not even 30 years old another great prospect from KFI 🙌,” wrote Nandan. Another user said that the title track is like a earworm and grows on audiences with every listen.
The title track launch is the first in a set of promotional events for the film’s March 17 release. The trailer is expected to drop on March 4.
