One user thought Shahid Kapoor is prepping for Udta Punjab 2
Shahid Kapoor fooled his followers into believing he had dyed his hair into purple colour. The actor shared an Instagram reel in which his hair colour be seen coloured in purple. Soon after, their hilarious reactions started pouring in.
While most of the netizens called Shahid chapri and someone who transported back to TikTok of 2019, Shahid also received some more comments which were linked to his work. ‘Farzi became chapri’ was a comment but the one that stood out the most was ‘Kabir Singh after seeing Barbie.’
Many even went on to claim that Shahid is influenced by Bigg Boss 16 winner MC Stan. Others said he started following the K-Pop band BTS (known to experiment with their hair from time-to-time). One even went on to ask when did Shahid shift to Kurla, since the place in Mumbai is often associated with the forementioned TikTokers.
Shahid had actually experimented with his hair while he was shooting for Abhishek Chaubey’s Udta Punjab. One could see him with purple streaks in some shots of the film. Thus, when he posted this video, one expected comment was about Udta Punjab 2.

Shahid’s video did not end with the purple hair. The actor had added a filter and eventually, he posed with his normal, silky black hair. Most of the fans were relieved upon seeing the second half of the video.
It is in this part of the video where Shahid mocks those watching the video through his expressions. It was, in a way, his own Farzi moment.
2023 has been Shahid Kapoor’s year on OTT as much as Shah Rukh Khan’s on the big screen. This year, Shahid made his OTT debut with Raj and DK’s series Farzi and he hit it out of the park. Soon after, Shahid was seen in the direct-to-OTT film Bloody Daddy, helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar. The movie was just as loved.
Currently, Shahid has various projects in the pipeline but he is yet to make an official announcement on them. His yet untitled film with Kriti Sanon, though, is gearing up for a release soon.
