The upcoming film will be produced under the banner of Salman Khan Films.
Salman Khan fans anxiously waiting for updates on Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, look no further. It was reported recently that Devi Sri Prasad has come on board as a composer for the upcoming film.
According to a report in Pinkvilla, Prasad has already started working on the soundtrack, with plans to create some original songs for the same. The soundtrack will reportedly be worked on by a team of composers, led by Prasad. The popular composer has collaborated with Khan before, serving as the music director for the song Dhinka Chika from the film Ready(2011), which starred Khan and Asin. Prasad had taken inspiration from the song Ringa Ringa From Arya 2.
Sources also told the portal that cinematographer V. Manikandan is also expected to join Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali as well. He had earlier collaborated with Khan on Prem Ratan Dhan Payo(2015).
The upcoming film is expected to go on floors within the next two weeks, with the makers planning to rope in more well-known actors to constitute an ensemble cast. As the film’s premise is a ‘cross-cultural love story’, the makers wanted the cast to be a blend of South and North Indian actors. In addition to Khan, Pooja Hegde and Venkatesh also play pivotal roles in the upcoming film. Recently, it was also reported that Aayush Sharma, who shared the screen with Khan in Antim: The Final Truth, will also star in the upcoming film. Zaheer Iqbal is also reportedly being considered for the film.
Farhad Samji was initially announced as the director for Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. But according to a report in Bollywood Hungama, there was a buzz going around that Khan might take the helm of the film, or co-direct it with Samji. The upcoming film will be produced under the banner of Salman Khan Films. Sajid Nadiadwala was initially attached to produce the project.
