Kaazh, the 2024 Tamil film, is set to premiere digitally on Aha Tamil on July 23, the streaming platform announced on social media on Friday. Apart from Aha Tamil, the film will also be available to watch on OTTplay Premium. Kaazh is a drama film.

Kaazh released in theatres on June 7, and following its theatrical run, will be making its OTT debut on Aha Tamil. The film will begin streaming from July 23 and will also be available on OTTplay Premium.

Kaazh’s cast comprises of prominent late singer and actor Malaysia Vasudevan's son Yugendran in the lead role along with fresh faces including, Siddarth Anbarasu, Mimi Leonard, and Nithya Balasubramanian among others. The film is directed by Mohanraj VJ and backed by GM Films International and SKKA Films.

The film throws light on immigrants and revolves around a Tamil couple and an international student in Australia, as they find difficulties in a country that is not their native. Instead of glamourizing the NRI life, the film focusses on the struggles Indians face as they move abroad. The technical crew consists of music by Helvin KS and Sanjai Arakkal, with Vasanth Gangadharan cranking the camera. The film is edited by Iganatious Aswin. Kaazh had a silent release, and opened to mediocre reviews.

Aha Tamil’s growing content slate

Kaazh is the latest addition to the Tamil content that the streaming platform has been acquiring lately. Aha Tamil has been on a brisk pace to bag the post-theatrical streaming rights of many Tamil films that have had a release this year.

Some of them include Mission: Chapter 1, Devil, Vadakupatti Ramasamy, Birthmark, The Boys, Ranam Aram Thavarel, Boomer Uncle, The Boys, Sirugan, Kurangu Pedal, Romeo, Hot Spot, Haraa, Oru Nodi, Hit List, and Rasavathi, Uyir Thamizhukku, Pagalariyaan, Weapon, and The Akaali. These titles are also available on OTTplay Premium to watch.
