Kaaval trailer: Suresh Gopi looks formidable in the action sequences in the trailer

Kaaval is Suresh Gopi's latest outing after the 2020 release Varane Avashyamund.

Suresh Gopi is back with the trailer for Kaaval. The highly anticipated movie written and directed by Nithin Renji Panicker is an action thriller that has Suresh Gopi and Renji Panicker in the lead.

The trailer hints at a story that will surround two people, Thamban (Suresh Gopi) and Antony (Renji Panicker). It starts with a high octane action sequence, where Thamban and Antony are inside a police station, thrashing police officers. The trailer then shows an older version of Thamban and Antony, where both seem weaker, also hinting at a story told at two different periods.

As expected, the movie will have Suresh Gopi, in an action role, which he hasn’t done for some time now. There are a few action sequences in the trailer that shows Suresh at his vintage best, beating up people with ease. The lines used in the trailer also helps establish this.

There are a few scenes where Suresh seems to be going head to head with policemen. The line from the trailer, “Ee police enna item, sarkaarinte oru thokka”, meaning “Police are the government's gun” and the fact that the title “Kaaval” means “Police” in Tamil begs the question, What part does the police play?

Kaaval also stars Zaya David, Muthumani, Padmaraj Ratheesh, Rachel David, Kichu Tellus and I.M Vijayan. The film is produced by Joju George under the banner of Goodwill Entertainment.

This will be Nithin Renji Panicker's second outing as director. His first film was Kasaba, released in 2016 starring Mammootty. National award winner Nikhil S Praveen is the cinematographer for the film and Ranjin Raj is the music director.
