Kaatera: New poster reveals lead pair Darshan - Radhana Ram together for first time

Many would know already that '90s superstar Malashree Ramu's daughter Radhana Ram will make her debut with Kaatera and that she plays a character called Prabhavati in the film.

Challenging Star Darshan's fans were treated to a rather special announcement very recently wherein they learnt that the DBoss will reunite with his Kariya director Prem for a special project. This mega-movie will be bankrolled by KVN Productions, who are currently working with Prem on the period action entertainer KD - The Devil, starring Dhruva Sarja Sanjay Dutt and others.

Although the Prem-Darshan project stands officially confirmed, one still awaits more details about the film, particularly about its launch date and the core cast and crew.

Team Kaatera comes with a new update

Another update awaited Darshan fans on the occasion of Varamahalakshmi with the makers of Kaatera promising something new and exciting for them. Kaatera, of course, sees Darshan reuniting with his Roberrt director Tharun Kishore Sudhir and the whole team is currently engrossed in the making of the film. There have been speculations swirling around about the film potentially releasing at the end of 2023 so with this in mind, one expected the latest update to be related to either the release date or the first teaser. However, Tharun Sudhir's social media post referred to neither.

Instead, the makers shared a new poster featuring both the leads of the film. The same poster shows the lead pair of Darshan and Radhana together for the first time to date, with their respective characters seen atop a bicycle. "Pennu irali, macchu irali," wrote Tharun Sudhir in his post referring to the fierceness and intensity of both the lead characters.

What is Kaatera about?

Set in the '70s in rural Karnataka, Kaatera is centred around agricultural lands and farmers with Tharun Sudhir sharing in the past that his story is based on real incidents. Though it isn't clear just as yet what forms the crux of the story, it seems evident from all the posters that Darshan will essay the role of leader of a social crusade of some kind. Radhana Ram's, character, too, is likely to play a key role in the scheme of things with '90s actor Kumar Govind making a comeback.
