Kaatera update: THIS is when the trailer of Darshan’s period film will drop
The only thing that Darshan will tell at this point is about the action blocks in the film. Kaatera has all of three fights and the speciality of each of these is that in the first one, he has the use of both his arms/hands, in the second it is down to only one arm/hand and in the third, both arms/hands are not in play. “Now you let your imagination run wild as to how this could have been achieved. If you ask me what is different about Kaatera, this is what it is – the three fights,” said Darshan, adding that unlike normal commercial films in which the hero is introduced with a song or stunt, here, the first song comes after about 20 minutes run-time and the fight another 20 minutes later.
Set in the 70s and based on a real-life incidents, Kaatera, says Darshan, is about farmers and has the perfect blend of commercial elements, as well as a content-oriented narrative. The film is the launchpad of veteran actress Malashree’s daughter Aradhanaa, who according to the Challenging Star, has done a fabulous job in her debut movie. Also on the cast are Kumar Govind, Shruthi, Biradar, Avinash, Ravi Chetan and Master Rohith, among others. The film has music by V Harikrishna, and two songs from the soundtrack have already been released and received mixed response. The team has promised that in the run-up to December 29, a lot more material will be in the public domain.
