KA is Kiran Abbavaram's latest film, which hit theaters alongside Lucky Baskhar and emerged as a massive hit at the box office. The film grossed over ₹50 crore, marking the highest earnings of Kiran Abbavaram's career. At OTTplay, we had earlier reported that ETV Win secured the digital rights to the film. Now, it has been confirmed that KA will be available for streaming from November 28, 2024.

The film has generated considerable buzz as it appealed primarily to family audiences who may not have watched it in theaters. Additionally, thrillers like KA tend to perform well on OTT platforms. The increasing traction even for underperforming films on digital platforms is a welcome trend. In the past, movies such as Maa Nanna Superhero, Janaka Aithe Ganaka, and Harom Hara—despite being box office flops—clocked over 100 million streaming minutes.

Kiran Abbavaram invested heavily in KA and was confident of its success ever since the trailer was released. He even took the bold step of releasing the film alongside Dulquer Salmaan's Lucky Baskhar and emerged victorious. Directed by debutant duo Sujith and Sandeep, KA impressed audiences with its strong storytelling and execution.

ETV Win bags KA's digital rights

ETV Win reportedly spent a significant amount to acquire the film's OTT rights, helping the makers achieve a solid profit margin. The OTT release will also feature a few deleted scenes that were not part of the theatrical version.
